Oilseeds
Oilseeds are such plants, which contain economically (economically) significant quantities of oil. Quality at general level is governed according to ČSN 46 2300 - 1.
Oilseed rape ( Brassica napus L. sub. Oleifera )
Oilseed rape is the most important vegetable of Czech Republic and its share in the CR in the production of processed oil is about 95%. Oilseed rape after 1989 became a strategic transformation of Czech agriculture crop, because it replaced the loss of land for feed crops, and maintains a balance of humus in the soil, including the healing effects on soil. Quality is judged according to ČSN 46 2300 -2.
Sunflower ( Helianthus annuus L.)
Sunflower is the most important vegetable kind in Czech Republic (after winter rape). Sunflowers are grown especially for dieticky high quality oil, which is among the most popular vegetable oils and also as part of birdseed. Quality control according to ČSN 46 2300 - 6
- Black - production oil
- Banding's (Iregi, Apetil, Congo, Pioneer) - Production of birdseed
Opium poppy ( Papaver somniferum L.)
Opium poppy is an important oil plant, cultivation has a long tradition.
In recent years, the poppy crop area has increased considerably. Quality control according to ČSN 46 2300-3
Mustard
Mustard seed is used in the canning industry for production of table mustard. Mustard is also the most widely used catch crop for green manure. Quality control according to ČSN 46 2300 - 4
- White mustard (Sinapis alba L.) - comes from the Mediterranean, is 1 m high, has golden-yellow flowers and lusterless, pale yellow seeds.
- Black mustard (Brassica nigra L.) - is a little higher, the seeds are dark red-brown color
- Mmustard Indian (Brassica juncea Cos., Z sareptská) - a light brown seeds and grows St India, China and Russia.
Linseed ( Linum usitatissimum )
in the CR the a grown little plant, the area in recent years steadily declining. Linseed seed is mainly used for the production of technical oils.
